The Deck Of Death

This is a simple but very effective training
routine that you can use any type of bodyweight
exercise to kick your ass in to an almost super
human level of fitness.

Bodyweight training is a love for me. I love everyday
I get to train. Why ? Because I constantly get better.

The standard exercises most use are bodyweight squats
and pushups. But it can be made almost impossible with
an exercise like a burpee.

Try this use the Burpee and try to go through the whole
deck as fast as possible see how long you can go without
a rest.

This is a very intense workout.

Get tough and Stay tough!!

Focus is the key.

This is what most people miss
in their quest for physical
fitness, diet or even overall
health.

You need to focus at the job
at hand you need to concentrate
and see what you want, then go
get it.

If you want to become physically
fit and healthier it's up to you.
No one is their to hold your hand
your a big boy or big girl so take
some time to go over what is
important to you.

Take sometime and write down
what you want and focus and don't
stop until your desire is reached.

Train Hard, If your fat and weak it's your fault.

Put down the fork and listen up FAT BOY!

You would think with all the diet and exercise books
on the market you could find information that you need
to drop the fork, get off your ass, and start to move.

But we know now that no matter what you read or
how much information you have or how smart you
think you are you still can't figure it out.

We still want to make excuses as to why you are
still fat and that you have tried everything. I
know two things you haven't done and that's put
down the fork and move.

It's impossible to stay fat if you eat less and move,
this is not complicated. It's simple and yet most
can not figure it out.

Keep reading and watching the news and reading
about all the new diet pills and while you do, you
will continue to get fatter and fatter and fatter.

Hey, what pills did you use to get fatter and weaker?
NONE! The only pill is called excuses and that's the
reason people are fat and weak.

The only way to correct this is to do something different.
And by different I mean eat different and move a little
more.

If you don't and you are fat and weak it's because you really
want to be fat and weak. Why ? because it's easier to stay fat
and weak then to be lean and strong.

And to all that say I do eat fruits and vegetables and are still
fat you are not eating enough or your deep frying your vegetables
and dipping your fruit in chocolate sauce.

I don't care if people like my views, but this is not an opinion this
fact from what I see almost everyday or what I have experienced
on a regular basis.

Until later, and if your fat and weak it's your fault.

Use Bodyweight training anywhere, anytime.

The great thing about using your bodyweight for
resistance is that it's portable and free. The
type of workouts you get when you use your
own bodyweight are amazing and will produce
results that you will be proud of.

It's not easy to use your own bodyweight as
resistance. Using your own bodyweight is
tough.

You can use your bodyweight anywhere, any-
time and get an ass- kicking workout that will
build lean muscle and burn fat off in a short
time.

Using your own bodyweight will build an
athletic body along with athletic ability.
Want proof, Try this .

Grab a dumbbell with about half of what
you could normally do. Lie on a bench and
do a one arm dumbell press and keep the
other arm across your chest.

Now get down on the ground. Lie flat. Put
one arm on the ground and the other behind
your back. Now push from the floor into a
pushup position.

It will take more overall strength to the one-
arm pushup then to do a one dumbbell press.

Train Hard, If you are fat and weak it's your fault.

Just do something!!!

Instead of making excuses, just do something,
do anything. Doing something is always better
than doing nothing.

Instead of thinking of reason why you can't workout-
find a reason why YOU should workout. It all comes
down to what you want.

What you want is why or why you don't have what
you want. If fitness and health are important to you,
you will find time to workout or eat better.

If health and fitness is not important to you, it won't
matter you'll just keep the same results.

So what's important ? Do something and start today.

Train Hard, If you are fat and weak it's your fault.

Blue collar strength will always prevail.

This is where a lot of people miss the mark. Real
strength and fitness comes from years and years
of hard training.

Most men will train for a couple of years then take
a lay off then start back up. This will not keep you
strong. You are only as strong and fit as you want
to be.

If you take a man who uses his body everyday to
earn a living and this same man spends his time
training he will always be stronger then the man
who works out 4 times a week.

I know. I all my life have made a living using my
body as a pack mule. But I always found time to
train.

8 to 10 hour days or more, using your body as a
machine, moving and picking up things the strongest
gym rats couldn't handle. This is real not made up to
make blue collar work glorious. Being blue collar is
tough, tough work but it needs to be done.

Try throwing around a 55 gallon drum weighing 500
to 600 lbs or picking up a 1,000 boxes weighing 45 lbs
each and doing it in an hour. How about ditch diggers
or brick layers.

Real strength comes from years and years of training
their are no short cuts.

Train Hard, if you are fat and weak it's your fault.

Pushing your body to super-human limits.

How do you train ? Do you just go through the
motion ? Do you push yourself through the
pain or do you give up when it gets tough ?

If you want to be at a level rarely attained by
most athletes you need to go beyond the
pain. I’m not talking injury pain, I’m talking
about muscular pain.

Most men have no idea what pushing themselves
through pain means. It means going where you
have never gone before, physically and mentally.

Being an athlete or being involved in some sort
of martial arts my whole life, most men stop short
because of discomfort and mental weakness.

At the first sign of muscular failure most will stop and
take a break. Instead of pushing harder and farther
they give up. These are not the people I want watching
my back. I want people who will go and go and go some
more.

If you want strength that can be used at any time you
train and you train hard. If you are or ever have been
involved in sports you work hard and you do whatever
it takes to win. No one likes losers or quitters.

You need to put pain aside and push on. You need
a never give up attitude. To many men and women
make excuses as to why they are weak and fat, and
there is probably no hope for these people.

To many men and women are on some kind of drug
to control stress, pain, blood pressure, etc, these people
are weak. Stop making excuses and control your own
life and start to lead, instead of being a follower.

Lets see what you can do to push beyond your current
fitness level: Pick one exercise and push yourself for 15
minutes and do whatever it takes to complete the 15
minutes with little of no rest.

You know what let me pick the exercise’s. You can
pick from 1 of 3.

Bodyweight squats.
Burpees..
Popups ( non- jumping burpees)

Do the squats going only parallel.
Do the Burpees and Popups without a pushup.

I think you need to test your level of fitness at least
once a week. And when you do push hard and
and do whatever it takes to finish.

To show you what I mean last week I did 760 squats
in 15 minutes. Today I did 808 in 15 minutes. I wanted
it and I got it. Hard yes, But got it done.

Train Hard, if you are fat and weak its your fault.

No excuses!!

In today's world we all have a more hectic
lifestyle then ever. And some real important
things get put on the back burner.

We are more stressed, overweight we are
sick physically and mentally. Most of you
will find excuses as to why you are overweight
sick and mentally drained. It comes down to
you there are no excuses.

You do what you want when you want. If you
are fat stop eating. If you are sick take better
care of yourself. If you are stressed find your
stress and eliminate it. Simple and sweet.

This past weekend I was out of town and was
driving alot but still found time to exercise.

I did a fast brutal 15 minute workout:

I did as many Burpees as I could in 15 minutes.

260 Burpees. Not bad for a few hours sleep.

To do a burpee:

Start in a standing position- squat down and put
your hands on the ground- kick your legs back-
(in a pushup position) bring your legs back up
under your chest- stand up and jump.

Repeat this as fast and as long as possible.

The Burpee is a great fat burner.

Train Hard, If you are fat and weak it's your fault.

Building a super-human level of fitness at home.

What can you find around your house or garage to
help you build a level of fitness that would choke
the fittest athletes.

I thrive on being able to train using little or no
equipment and have gotten almost super-human
type results.

First let me explain what I mean when I say super-human.
If you compare this type of training and the results you get
compared to normal men and women you see in the gym
you will look super-human.

The outdoors is your gym. Your surroundings are your
gym. Your bodyweight is your gym. Training in different
environments and switching up your training almost on
a daily basis will keep your results moving.

If you just look around and use your imagination you
will always find something new. Instead of running on
a track or street go off road. Instead of running on
flat land look for the hills.

A mile of running hills are a lot more challenging then
running on flat land. Run and sprint off road, look for
trails to do some training. Do sprints then some walking
then do more sprints.

Look for trees to do some climbing or do some pull-ups.
use different size branches put one hand higher then
the other hand, and build a lot of functional strength.

Ride a bike and find places to train or use your bike and
do some bike sprints or ride the hills and always keep
pedaling.

Look for parks you can use. Use a jump rope and build
world class endurance. Got a back pack ? Put some
weight in there and carry it with you when you go
off road to hit the trails.

Put on a back pack and do some bear crawls, you want
to talk about functional strength, try keeping this on your
back without it shifting from one side to another.

These are just some ways to train and there are a million more
and “The Wildman Training Program or course will always kick
you in the ass.

Train Hard, If you are fat and weak it’s your fault.

Bodyweight training will give you big results in little time!!

If you are looking to get big results in as
little time as possible you don’t need to
go any further then your backyard or
local park.

I’m always telling you to be as simple as
possible when it comes to your workouts.

The more complicated you make your workouts
the less results you will get. The more time you
spend getting complex the more time your
wasting.

If you like handstand pushups do’em if you like
pushups do them too. It really doesn’t matter
as long as you train and train hard as often as
you can. You can train for 5, 10, 15 minutes or
longer if you want, just do what needs to be done.

Paddy Doyle the holder of 132 bodyweight records
and martial arts records doesn’t have a record for
handstand pushups or pull-ups as a matter of fact
I don’t even know if he does them; but would you
say he wasn’t fit? He is the fittest man in the world
in my opinion and he keeps it simple. Basic, hard
and to the point.

In as little as 15 to 30 minutes you will be able to
do things that may seem impossible but it is
possible. Set yourself a goal of either time or reps
and go at it like your life depended on it. Because
you never know when a high level of fitness will
save your life or someone else’s.

Try this 30 minute workout:

10 U.K. squat thrusts.
25 Jumping Jacks.
10 Pushups.

Do as many as you can in a 30 minute time
limit. I did 50 sets and just got it done in the
30 minute time limit.

1,250 Jumping Jacks, 500 U.K. squat thrusts
500 pushups.

Try it see where you wind up and let me know.

Train Hard, if your fat and weak it’s your fault.

Beware of the bodyweight frauds.

Their are men out there that have bodyweight
websites and lift weights. The only reason they
have a bodyweight website is to make money.

I have no problem with people making money

one of your own products. I have even seen
bodyweight websites with the owner lifting
weights.

Be careful of these websites.

The Wildman eats chick food.

For years I have been eating an
almost meatless diet and have
been told I eat like a chick.

I will go out to eat and order a
salad. I like salads. I go out to
eat and I order water for my
drink. I like water.

I eat nuts and seeds and people
call it hampster food. Have you
ever seen a hampster run on a
wheel they move fast and go
long. Must be their food.

I had two fat out of shape young
guys tell me that eating meat is
manly. Yeah, it's working for them.

I say eat what you want if it has
no bad effects and if it does drop
it, and move on to something else.

Years ago I dropped dairy and have
been better for it. Have fun, eat and
train and get healthy and fit.

I'm calling out the booze drinking trainers.

This goes out to the gurus who are out there
preaching the healthy lifestyle that are out
there drinking booze and living unhealthy
lifestyles.

Let's put it this way I know for fact that this
goes on. I've seen it. And it happens all the
time.

As a matter of fact I know that while their
at the gym they are talking about going out
and partying.

Yeah, nothing like your trainer telling you
what you need to do to be healthy yet can't
live it themselves.

Hey, there's more to fitness and health then
wash board abs and spandex. You want to
see wash board abs find a crack addict and
check out his abs. Is he healthy and fat ?

Before you go telling people how they should
live to be healthy you might want to take your
own advice.

Hey, I welcome the comments from the pissed
off trainers. Bring it brother.

Bodyweight training for explosive power.

Most expert will have you believe that slow
controlled movements are how you build
physical fitness.

The truth is that every activity that is done
on a day to day basis is always explosive; it's never
slow and controlled.

This is how most people wind up getting hurt
on the job. They use a controlled movement
and when the body has to do something out
of the ordinary, like bend over they hurt
their back.

Training explosive is almost always the
most effective way to physical fitness.

Name any sport that doesn't require
explosive type movements and I will
tell you it ain't a sport.

Listen to all the fitness gurus you want
and read all the health and fitness magazines
to find the answer, take all the supplements
you can stomach and very few will help
unless you are training your body for real
life.

Bodyweight training will build an explosive
body if you are man or women enough to
train hard and sweat, it's not easy; but will
give you results that most will never have
because it's to hard and most just want to
go through the motion.

Train Hard, and if your fat and weak it's your fault.

15 minutes of bodyweight training will whip you into shape.

The power of 15 minutes is something that works. I don't
care how fit you are or how unfit you are. The power of
15 will work for anyone willing to take the time.

If you can't manage 15 minutes a day you are wasting
my time and I have no sympathy for you. In the last
blog I talked about the power of 15 minutes and had
some people email me and let me know what they
accomplished, and they all win because they actually
did it.

On Thursday I did 500 bodyweight squats in 10:51
today I did 1,000 jumping jacks in 11:54 not bad
for a time limit workout.

I usually pick a number reps in a certain amount of time
and do what ever in possible to complete that number
of reps. If I finish early great if not I keep going.

Train Hard, if you are fat and weak it's your fault.

Bodyweight Training and the power of 15 minutes.

So what’s the power of 15? It’s 15 minutes of hard work.
Anybody can go to a gym and workout for 45 minutes to
an hour but few can go hard for 15 minutes giving it all
they got.

In 15 minutes a lot can happen. You can run over 2 miles
You could do 400 to 500 bodyweight squats. You could
do 300 to 500 pushups or 200 to 250 burpees.

You could use 2 to 3 different exercises and go all out for
15 minutes going from exercise to the other with little or
no rest.

If you just picked 3 exercises bodyweight squats, pushups
and situps and trained hard for 15 minutes you could wind
up with 250 bodyweight squats, 250 pushups and 200 situps.
all that in only 15 minutes. You need to train explosive to get
explosive results you push hard and get it over with, and feel
you accomplished something for the day.

As simple as this sounds it works and has been test by lots of
different people and has yet to fail as a matter of fact the only
reason it would fail is if you never tried it.

The Wildman Training program has been tested for fast results
and has never failed. It will actually turn back the clock. But it
does come with a price. Hard work and sweat.

So see what you can do in 15 minutes and let me know.

Train Hard, and if your fat and weak it’s your fault.

The Wildman spinning burpee.

Johnny Grube doing spinning burpees

Bodyweight training as you probably already know
can be very demanding.

Bodyweight training will build a lean athletic muscular
body in record time but the key is to continually change
your exercises and workouts and to make continued
progress.

Burpees are a very demanding exercise and
they can be made more demanding and can
build alot of athletic ability and body awareness.

One way of doing burpees is to do the burpee and when
you jump you spin- do another- spin continue for 15 to
30 seconds - rest for 15 seconds- repeat this for 5 to 8
sets.

Try these and let me know what you think.

Train Hard, Stay Strong,
