Isometric training will build strength!!!

Johnny G doing a 1 arm isometric tree hold
For years isometric training has built
a great deal of strength, yet only a few
will use isometrics as part of their workouts.

I will use isometric training when I need to mix
it up a bit and to build a different type of strength.

Most training is full range training and this is the
way everyone trains, this way the muscle works
through a full range and will strengthen the muscle
fully.

If anybody has reached a sticking point in their training
you know that there is a position in a lift that you will
be weaker, for instance in the bench press the weakest
point is off the chest, for years strong men used isometrics
to push through these sticking points.

In the above picture I'm doing a isometric exercise I made
up to strengthen the body at one time, you have to keep
everything tight or you will slide down the tree or when you
try to use 1 arm you will probably fall.

Notice how straight the body is, try doing this for time 10 to
15 seconds then repeat using the other arm.

If your body sags you aren't doing the exercise right and your
body isn't working as one.

Wildman Training not complete!!!

Bald Eagle State Park, Howard PA

I always am talking about training as many
different ways as possible, but train with what
you got.

This weekend I spent 3 days lake swimming and this
is a great exercise, I grew up lake swimming and always
always had a great time, and I'm having a great time
again.

I should be moving to this area this year and I will be adding
lake swimming to complete the wildman workout, wildman
swim.

I spent time training on land, then hit the lake to finish off
my workout and it was brutal, I spent time doing laps, breast
strokes, underwater swimming, regular swimming, treading
water, throwing underwater punches and upper cuts anything
to get in a great workout.

If you get the chance swim, if you can't swim you can still get
in a workout, throwing underwater punches and treading water
and that will give you a great workout, try it

Later I will give some workouts Ido in the mountains training
in the mountains it makes me feel like a wildman.

Bodyweight Training will build muscle !!!!

(Johnny G showing what bodyweight training can do.)

Most people think that bodweight training
will build only muscular endurance and that
is so far from the truth.

Training with your own bodyweight will build
muscle only if you can handle your own body-
weight, most men can't handle their own body-
weight that's why most train with weights.

If you want to bulk up eat more if you want to
weigh less eat less same applies if your using
weights or your own bodyweight.

If more people would work toward the athletic
and lean muscular body they would probably
live a more healthy and fit life.

Try some bodyweight exercises and enjoy the
benefits because that is what you will experience
benefits, get strong, fit and healthy fast.
